GEARS UP FOR 5TH ANNUAL BLACK FAMILY TECHNOLOGY AWARENESS CAMPAIGN

 The National Society of Black Engineers - Jacksonville Alumni Extension (NSBE – JAE) is hosting the fifth annual Black Family Technology Awareness Day at the Florida Community College of Jacksonville’s Advance Technology Center on February 21, 2004. This event is being held in conjunction with the nationwide public awareness campaign Black Family Technology Awareness Week.

The purpose of this event is to increase awareness in technology and technological developments among black families in the local community. The Black Family Technology Awareness Day will include:  lunch for the kids (sponsored by Popeye's Chicken & Biscuits),
a keynote speaker; presentations and seminars on computer technology and online scholarship research, and trends in science and engineering (please view complete schedule).  The day is full of activities for elementary and high school students A Special Thanks to Popeyes for Sponsoring Food at the Eventthat

demonstrate the fundamentals of engineering as a career. Parents, teachers and community organizations are strongly encouraged to attend.
